Requirements by State

Do you need a license to sell timeshare? That depends on the state, Below is a list of all 50 states in alphabetical order. Below each state you will find any special licensing or schooling required and the appropriate contact information to the governing body for that state.  In some states, such as Nevada, no real estate license is required to sell timeshare but you must obtain a separate timeshare License. In a few other states timeshare professionals would be covered by the license of the broker representing the specific timeshare development that they are employed at. Also, to date it is to our knowledge that no states require special licensing for point conversions or travel clubs. Please check your state and help keep our information as up to date as possible.
